| BREGINJSKI KOT is a
valley in the westernmost part of Slovenia, between the villages of
Staro selo and Breginj, by the Italian border. It meanders under the
Stol Mountain on the north and the Mija Mountain on the south. From
Kobarid, an old town in the picturesque Soča Valley, to Breginj, the
largest village at the very end of the mysterious Breginjski kot,
there lie 13 small villages above the Nadiža River, among them also
the westernmost Slovenian village called Robidišče. The mystically
beautiful landscape endured through turbulent history, which is still
evident in numerous legends and people living in harmony with nature. |

At the bottom of this valley lies a small village
of Podbela. Beneath the village, right beside the Nadiža River, there
is the Nadiža Camp.
It welcomes everybody who likes intact nature and
clear rivers with wonderful sandbanks. Local people even claim that
the Nadiža River has healing powers.
The camp is suitable for families
with small children, as they can carelessly play besides and in
the water. |

At camping site Nadiža we rent three caravans located at the most beautiful spot near the Nadiža river.
They are very suitable for larger families. Equiped with kitchen-range, refrigerator, dishes, table, chairs, bedclothes, satelite TV, toilet, electricity. Build bathroom with toilets and running water is 100 m away.
Each have 5 beds: 2x = 200x160cm in 1x = 190x80cm
Parking place along the caravans.
There is also fireplace if you want to light a fire.
Price per day (night):
March 15 - June 17 and September 1 - October 31: 55 € (5 persons)
June 18 - August 31: 65 € (5 persons)
Tourist tax included.
We rent caravans by weeks (sunday to sunday) or based on agreement, but not less then 3 days.

The visitors to our camp can spend here active
holidays as well. Besides swimming in natural pools of
the Nadiža River and sunbathing on its banks they are offered
various alternative options.
They can play basketball, beach-volley, football, table tennis, bowls, or they can go biking along marked cycling paths. There is also a natural climbing wall at the entrance to the Nadiža valley.
On the slopes of the Stol Mountain (1673
m) the conditions are perfect for those who practise hiking, paragliding or hang-gliding.

Za vse, ki Nadižo dobro poznajo,
predvsem pa za naše "Kotarje" širom po svetu še
pesem o Nadiži:
TA NADIŽA NAŠA
Po dolini naši
teče reka,
na njeni poti meja jo preseka.
Odkod prihaja-kam odhaja?
Pojdimo z njo na pot od kraja!
Skrivnostni njeni so izviri,
med Jalovcem in Muzcem so kar štiri.
V začetku strugo svojo vsak izbira,
pod Srednje brdo jo ubira.
In tukaj polna vsa življenja
Nadiža svojo pot začenja.
Mladostno se pod St'rmco zažene,
ovire tamkaj ni nobene.
Kmalu prvi most jo preči-
naziv njegov kraljevsko je zveneči.
Hiti naprej mimo Nardina
in združi z vodo se Namli'na.
Toda pozor:
Na levi mrki Kras že oprezuje,
z grozečih sten jo ogleduje,
od njih šumot valov odmeva,
da Jamnikov pritok okleva.
A dol' pod Gradcem- v Branu,
ki ves je v sovdanu,
kjer spod Prosnida se prikrade
še voda' Legrade,
se zapodi v ozko tesen,
njen slap šumi tam svojo pesem.
Visoko gori zvon odmeva,
vasica loška tam sameva.
In že se most naslednji čeznjo pne',
tu stara pot je za Rbiščane'.
Zatem čez kamne oble se preliva,
hiti, se peni, ne počiva.
Ko pa ovinek velik naredi,
pod ce'sarjevim mostom končno se umiri.
Nizdol od mosta že se obotavlja,
otočke prodnate naplavlja.
Nad njo- na Lupu-cerkvica sv. Helene
ozira v loge se zelene.
Poleti ob sotočju Bele
kopalcev gruče bodo oživele.
Od tod njen tok mimo Podbele,
obliva tiho prode bele.
V zavojih blagih skozi beke,
zazreš se v bistrost naše reke.
V njih še Stol se ogleduje,
ko hkrati stare zgodbe premišljuje.
Še na večer, ko zarja zardeva,
njen trak srebrni daleč v hrib odseva.
Pod Hurjem tam v Koritih,
v tolmunih čistih, skritih,
čaroben svet ustvarja
in svojo pot nadaljnjo preudarja.
Pri Robu pa ostro' zavije
v sotesko Matajurja - Mije.
Grede, ko se od nas poslavlja,
na skali sivi sv. Volarja pozdravlja.
Naprej se pritajeno vije
kot da boji se,
kdaj izgubi se
v ravnini Furlanije.
Taka je Nadiža
naša:
Kadar je pohlevna,
je njena melodija spevna.
A včasih se tud' razsrdi
in povodenj naredi.
Takrat svoj tok preusmerja,
»mosti' poderja«,
ne prizanaša,
kar pride ji na pot, odnaša,
ta Nadiža naša…
